As rumored for weeks, Korg has announced the MS-20 mini. (At least they’ve announced it in Germany.) The new synth is an analog recreation of the 1978 monosynth at 86% scale, with a field of knobs and patch cables.
The synth sports two LFOs, two VCFs, two VCAs, two envelopes and one LFO. The bandpass filter is known for nasty, squelchy overdrive, as abused by musicians like William Orbit, Aphex Twin, Front 242, and Tangerine Dream. The synth includes MIDI in and a USB port. The packaging and manual are also in the original 1978 format.
Sound samples and pricing will be updated as soon as we hear them. Google translate the German product page if you want to learn more about the synth and its routing.
